Overview
This policy explains how Nijizo handles information in Tabletop Mini Shogi.
The app (iPhone, iPad, and Android) uses Google Analytics for Firebase for usage analytics and Google AdMob for advertising, alongside local gameplay and game records.
Information We Handle
- On-device data: Game records, game settings, and practice progress are stored on your device. We do not send the game records themselves to the analytics service.
- Feature usage: We send game starts, completions and early exits; solo or two-player mode; difficulty; player side; move count; elapsed time; and use of reviews, variations, and practice. This includes ad operation events such as loads, impressions, clicks, and errors.
- Analytics SDK information: The SDK handles an identifier for each app installation (app-instance ID), device, OS and app version information, and events such as first launches and sessions. IP addresses are used for communication and to determine approximate location. Google Analytics does not log or store the IP addresses themselves.
- Advertising SDK information: Google AdMob handles information such as IP addresses, approximate location, device or app identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Access to the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) requires your tracking permission. On Android, you can delete or reset the advertising ID in your device settings.
- Support inquiries: If you email us, we use your email address and the information you provide to respond and resolve issues.
No account is required. We do not include names, email addresses, or a custom login ID in analytics events. We do not request access to contacts, photos, the camera, microphone, or precise GPS location. Analytics data includes identifiers and is not necessarily fully anonymous.
Purposes
We use analytics to understand feature use and ad operation, and to improve the app’s quality and usability. Collection of IDFA and IDFV for analytics, and the analytics SDK’s advertising data uses, are disabled.
Separately, AdMob processes information to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. Ads and related data handling depend on your region, device settings, and advertising choices.
Service Providers and International Processing
We use Google Analytics for Firebase for analytics and Google AdMob for advertising, both provided by Google. Relevant information is sent to these services and may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Other businesses involved in ad delivery may also process information.
For details about these services, see:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
- Google Analytics data safeguards
We may also disclose information to the extent required by law.
Storage and Security
Local game records and settings remain until the app’s data is deleted. Keep your device locked and your OS up to date to help protect them.
Communication with external services is encrypted. Analytics retention follows the Google Analytics retention settings. Aggregated reports may be retained for a different period from individual event data. Advertising data retention and deletion follow Google’s policies.
We retain support inquiries for responding and necessary record keeping, and delete information that is no longer needed.
Your Choices and Requests
Usage analytics: Turn off “Share usage data” under “Settings” → “Usage Analytics” in the menu to stop further analytics collection. An existing off setting is preserved after updates. You can still play and review games with analytics off.
Advertising: On iPhone and iPad, change tracking permission under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, delete or reset the advertising ID under Settings → Google → All services → Ads (on some devices, Privacy → Ads). If “Ad Privacy” appears in the app menu, you can use it at any time to update your advertising consent and choices. Ads may still appear when tracking is denied, and denying tracking does not stop all information processing needed to serve ads.
Turning off analytics and changing advertising permissions are separate actions. Stopping collection or deleting the app does not automatically delete data already sent.
Delete the app to remove its local data; manage any OS backups separately. Contact us below to request access, correction, deletion, or assistance with your information. We respond in accordance with applicable law. Because there are no user accounts, identifying the relevant data may not always be possible.
Japan External Transmission Disclosure
This section identifies information transmitted from the app to parties other than the user, including the recipient, information sent, purpose, and available controls, in consideration of Japan’s external transmission rules under the Telecommunications Business Act.
Google Analytics for Firebase (recipient: Google LLC)
The app transmits the app-instance ID; device, OS and app information; first-launch and session information; feature-use and ad-operation events; and the IP address used for communication. We use this information to understand feature usage and improve quality and usability. Google processes it to provide, maintain, and protect its services and for other purposes described in its terms. You can stop these analytics transmissions under “Settings” → “Usage Analytics” in the app menu.
Google AdMob (recipients: Google LLC and businesses involved in ad delivery)
The app transmits information including the IP address, approximate location, device and app identifiers or information, ad interactions, and diagnostics. It is used to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. You can update available choices through “Ad Privacy” in the app, the iPhone or iPad tracking setting, and the Android advertising ID setting. In versions supported by advertising, these choices may not stop every transmission necessary to deliver ads. Deleting the app stops future transmissions from that installation.
See Sections 2 and 4 for more detail and links describing Google’s handling. We update this disclosure when device or SDK behavior changes.
Regional Disclosures and Rights
Japan: Where applicable under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws, you may request notice of purpose, disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion by contacting us below. See Section 4 for international processing.
United States, including California: Depending on the law applicable to you, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale or sharing or targeted advertising, limit certain uses of sensitive information, and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information for money. Where AdMob’s advertising processing is treated as “sharing” or targeted advertising under applicable law, use “Ad Privacy” to update your choices. Send other requests to the contact below. We may verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority as permitted by law.
EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: The app is available in these regions. Before the first ad is shown, the app presents a consent screen provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform (compliant with IAB TCF v2.2). Advertising processing that requires consent, and non-essential usage analytics, do not begin until you give consent on that screen. Usage analytics is sent only if you consent to the purpose “Store and/or access information on a device” and to Google on the consent screen, and even then you can turn it off at any time under “Usage Analytics” in the app.
You can choose “Do not consent.” The app’s games and reviews remain available without consent, but ads may not be shown or only limited ads may be shown. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through “Ad Privacy” in the app menu. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
The lawful basis for this processing is consent. The app’s core features, such as playing games and storing game records on your device, do not transmit information to us or to third parties. If you are in these regions, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence or work. Send requests to the contact below. Transfers outside these regions, including to Google LLC, are covered by safeguards provided by Google such as standard contractual clauses.
Children’s Privacy
The app is a general-audience game and is not designed for or directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Please contact us below if you become aware of such information.
Policy Changes
We update this policy when features or information handling change. Significant changes will be communicated through app release information or this page.
